The first match of FA Cup 2022 will take place tonight after two seasons of inactivity. Tonight, Selangor FC will be up against the M3 team, Harini FT at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya.

This is the second and (probably) the last match for the Red Giants this month after the second match of the Super League 2022 against Sri Pahang FC had to be postponed. More information on this match will be updated from time to time.

Michael will not take the opponent lightly, “When I was in Germany, from my experience, sometimes it's difficult to go against supposedly lower teams. Therefore, we won’t underestimate Harini FT and we have to always focus on our performance,”

“We must be full of confidence to get an early goal, as it will help us. We definitely want to win the game and display a dominant performance. We want to put a lot of pressure on them, play a good game and score a few goals. That's our target,”

“For the FA Cup, we can only use four imports as it is part of the rules. So, we will list more local players and give them some more valuable game time. This is a big opportunity and I trust them all,”

In terms of availability of players for tonight, Selangor FC will be missing a few players such as Halim Saari and R. Dinesh, who are still in their recovery phase from their anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) injury. Besides that, Zikri Khalili, the young defender is still undergoing treatment for his lateral meniscus tear injury.

However, Selangor FC supporters can cheer on the return of Shahrel Fikri back to the squad for tonight's match.
